Canagan / Symply will not be increasing their pricing on Dry Dog Food or Dry Cat Food. Please see the updated statement from the CEO of Canagan sent to retailers below.
Dear Partner,
Firstly, I would like to personally thank you for your support in these challenging times.
It is thanks to your passion for our products and the transfer of enthusiasm to the wonderful pet parents who buy our foods that we continue to have some of the highest brand loyalty there is.
Despite the recent adjustments to pricing seen across our sector, I firmly believe that Canagan remains an excellent food accessible to all. A 7.5kg Cockapoo can be fed our Free Range Chicken recipe for just £0.70 per day.
In addition to world class ingredients, we continue to stand by our environmental commitments, powering our UK operation entirely by our own solar energy and offsetting any carbon from the rearing of our livestock and delivery of our products to be fully carbon neutral.
Our founder, my father, began his pet industry journey as a pet store owner so we are uniquely placed to understand that even with the numerous selling points of our foods you may still be concerned about our upcoming price adjustment scheduled for February 10th.
Therefore, whilst our cost prices have risen significantly (yet again), we have decided that we will freeze our current prices on dry food and continue to work with our suppliers to try and mitigate any future adjustments.
Canagan dog cans; cat pouches, biscuit bakes & Symply wet food will have their price adjusted on February 10th as scheduled but your dry food prices will remain the same as now.
Your continued support and championing of our products means the world to us, thank you.
Kind regards,
James Milbourne

Dear Pet Parent,
We, as do all pet foods, continue to face severe cost pressures due to the price of energy, scarce availability of raw materials and supply chain complexities.
Prior to Spring 2022 our prices remained fixed for a period of approximately three years with all cost increases absorbed by us, but the challenges we currently face mean we have to pass on some of the increase.
We understand how challenging these past 12 months have been for many people across the country and the pressures we all face with the cost of living.
Despite these increases we think it is important to consider the daily cost of feeding our foods.
A 7.5kg kg Cockapoo can be fed for £0.72p per day, a 20kg Labrador can be fed for £1.44 per day*, significantly less than the cost of a cup of coffee at a high street coffee shop.
Despite the increase we feel this still represents great value when we consider we use Free Range Chickens, sweet potato and botanicals. Our foods contain Salmon Oil for wonderful skin and coat as well as joint health ingredients to keep our dogs mobile and active. In addition, we continue to maintain carbon neutrality across the entire business from production to delivery as part of our environmental pledge.
Because of our high quality ingredients, you will feed less of our foods compared to other lower quality, cheaper products, so it is important to consider the daily feeding cost, not just the price of the bag.
We would like to thank you for your continued support and your loyalty to our foods. We are a family run business of pet lovers so it matters deeply to us that we can continue to serve you with our award-winning products.
Kind regards,
James Milbourne
